ABS Carolinas is owned and operated by Florrie Southerland, a seasoned professional with decades of experience in business ownership, management, and accounting. Florrie began her journey in 1976, managing payroll for her family’s nursing home. A few years later, in 1984, she became the owner and licensed administrator of a long-term care facility.
Her career continued to flourish in 1991 when she took on the role of corporate controller at a prestigious golf resort in Myrtle Beach, SC, managing $40 million in capital assets and overseeing a $12 million annual budget. By 1996, after relocating to Pinehurst, Florrie became the Executive Director of the Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human Care. Drawing on her wealth of experience, she founded Accounting & Business Solutions in 2006, now ABS Carolinas, to serve a diverse range of businesses and nonprofits.
